Noun:– A noun is a word which denotes only the name of a person, place, or thing.
Examples: Rahul(person), Murshidabad (place) , Pen (thing) etc.
Formation of Nouns:
***Denoting state, condition, action, result etc.
- Most of the Nouns are formed by adding ‘ness’ to an adjective.
Adjective + -ness = Noun
Good + -ness = Goodness
Sad + -ness = Sadness
ill + -ness = illness

Kind + -ly = Kindly
Clear + -ly = Clearly

- Adjectives ending in “le” , “e” is dropped and “y” is added.
